Two
Teams Again This Season!
The recreational team (REC) will continue to carry
the Osprey torch with a come-one-come-all attitude (up to 30), equal playing time,
and lots of fun.
The competitive team (COMP) will be a tryout team that is coach lead and
focuses on a high level of play and skating. The coaches will choose up to 18 people from
tryouts for the team.
**The Details**
COMP
will practice Monday nights, 8:15 - 9:30 pm.
REC will practice Tuesday
nights, 8:15 - 9:30 pm
(depending on kids' schedule
this may/may not change).
Coaches:
Yuri Davydov has committed to continue as the REC coach.
Heidi is pursuing a coach and players for the COMP team.
Cost:
$TBA/person for the season
Tournament cost will be figured out for each tourney and will be offset
by the Osprey treasury.

USA Hockey:
Everyone must register with USA
hockey starting Sept 1
(no members under 18).
You can do it on line at USA Hockey & then
PLEASE bring a copy of it to sign up
night & give to Chris Vetter.
The Committee:
The Osprey committee takes care of
the "business" side of things. Coaches run the teams/practices/games, the
committee makes decisions like "let's order 15 new practice jerseys" or
"lets take up to eight B teams for the Chix tourney." The Committee will be made
up of members from both the REC and COMP teams. Meetings will be announced ahead of time
and they are open to everyone to attend. If you are unable to attend, please contact a
committee member before the meeting with comments.
Current Committee members are Brandi Wassmuth, Sacha Jackson, Diane
Green, Chris Vetter, Marilyn Olsen, Carolyn Troutner, Kim Binder, Jamie Olavarria, and
Tiffane Falvey.
We can always use more members.
Captains and Managers:
Captains and Managers will act as liaisons between
the Osprey committee, the team members, and the coaches. Captains assists coaches while
Managers will do more of the business stuff. Both Captains and Managers need to be on the
committee. Managers will be voted on at Sign-up night. Captains will be decided upon by
the coaches.
